Florida annual report: deadline, fees and how to file it yourself

3 min readUpdated November 6, 2026

Every Florida LLC and corporation files an annual report on Sunbiz each year after the year it was formed. Miss it and the penalties are steep, but the filing itself is simple and you can do it yourself.

When it's due

The filing window is January 1 to May 1, every year after the year you formed your business. A business formed in 2026 files its first annual report between January 1 and May 1, 2027.

What it costs

  • The state fee for an LLC is $138.75.
  • A $400 late fee applies after May 1.
  • Businesses that still haven't filed by the third Friday of September are administratively dissolved.

Can I file it myself?

Yes. You can file it yourself on Sunbiz, and Florida businesses don't need third-party help to file. If you'd rather hand it off, we file it for $49 plus the state fee, or keep your whole renewal calendar for $129 a year.

Watch for official-looking mail

The state warns about solicitations that look like official notices or bills. If a letter asks you to pay for your annual report, a certificate or a compliance service, check it before you pay. Send us a photo and we'll tell you what it is, free.

Quick answers

Rather hand it off? We publish our prices, and we'll always tell you when a filing is free to do yourself.
