Annual report season

  • Due January 1 – May 1 every year after the year you filed.
  • LLC fee is $138.75; a $400 late fee applies after May 1.
  • Businesses not filed by the third Friday of September are dissolved.
  • You can file it yourself on Sunbiz. We're here if you'd rather not.

Watch for official-looking mail

  • The state warns about solicitations that look like official notices or bills.
  • Florida businesses do not need third-party help to file.
  • Not sure about a letter? Send us a photo before you pay anyone.

Free things we never charge for

  • Your EIN is free from the IRS. We only help with the form.
  • U.S.-formed companies are currently exempt from FinCEN BOI reporting, so we don't sell BOI filings.

Registrations to know

  • Fictitious names are good for five years and expire December 31 of year five.
  • Register with the Florida Department of Revenue when you sell taxable goods or hire.
  • Local business tax is not required by the City of Tallahassee or Leon County; other counties may require one.
